Is this HIPAA-compliant?
ChairsideReply is a drafting tool. We don't store or process patient data — you're just generating replies to public reviews. The responses are built so they won't contain anything that could constitute a privacy violation. You stay responsible for what you post; we make it much harder to get it wrong.
Will Google penalize me for AI-drafted replies?
No. Google has publicly confirmed AI tools are fine for drafting review responses. You're the one publishing the reply — ChairsideReply just helps you write it.
Can I edit the draft before posting?
Always. Every draft appears in the reply box for you to review and modify. Nothing posts automatically.
What about fake reviews or non-customers?
There's a separate mode for these. The response is built to publicly note that the reviewer doesn't appear in your records — in language that doesn't confirm or deny anyone specifically.
Why not just use ChatGPT?
ChatGPT will happily write phrases that constitute HIPAA violations. Those guardrails aren't built in — ChairsideReply's are.
Where does my review text go?
Your review text is sent to our LLM backend to generate the draft. We don't store reviews long-term or use them to train models. For details on data handling, you'll get full specs when you sign up for early access.
What if Google changes their reply box UI?
We maintain the extension actively and monitor Google's interface for changes. If the direct button stops working, you can still copy the draft via the extension. Our goal is to keep it working as long as the product exists.
Does this work in Chrome only?
Yes — the extension is currently Chrome-only because that's where the majority of dentists access Google Business Profile. Safari and Firefox support may come later based on demand.
